Camping Card International (CCI) is a well-known entity in the camping industry, offering a range of benefits to campers across Europe. The CCI serves as an international “passport” for campers, providing proof of identity that is often accepted in place of a passport at campsites. It also offers discounts of up to 25% at over 3,000 campsites throughout Europe, making it a valuable asset for frequent campers.
In addition to discounts, the CCI provides third-party liability insurance for the cardholder and their travelling group, ensuring a worry-free camping experience. The card is valid as long as the expiry date has not passed, and the holder is a member of one of the clubs affiliated with the F.I.C.C. (Fédération Internationale de Camping et de Caravanning).
Challenge
CCI challenged us to develop a web portal to promote their services and implement an e-commerce solution that allows their customers to subscribe to a membership online. At the same time, they intended to dematerialise the use of physical membership cards by implementing an app. This app would enable their users to manage their subscription details and access a digital version of their membership card.

Solution
Using Umbraco for content management, together with Microsoft .NET for all custom development and PWA (Progressive Web Apps), among other programming languages and technologies, we implemented a new web portal for CCI. The new web portal not only meets the objective of promoting CCI services, with a carefully implemented SEO strategy to achieve a good organic position on search engines but also allows their customers to manage and subscribe to memberships online.
We also developed an app, available on the Apple Store and Google Play, which allows customers to access a digital card that provides discounts on camping sites. This not only eliminates the need for a physical card but also ensures that customers always have access to their card wherever they are.

Result
The implementation of this solution optimised CCI's online conversion while also reducing its costs. Here are some of the benefits they have experienced:
